Cascading Down on New Year’s Eve: Confetti … and Maybe $1 Million for This Honey Brook Resident

By

Honey Brook resident Brian Mineweaser could start the New Year as a newly minted Pennsylvania Lottery millionaire, according to a staff report from 6ABC.

Mineweaser has won a special Pennsylvania Lottery Online Prize Drawing to get the chance to win $1 million during ABC’s live broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, moments after the ball drops in Times Square.

“It’s just so surreal!” said Mineweaser. “It’s amazing that I have a chance to win $1 million. If I won, the money would help me put my four kids through college.”

The 49-year-old Mineweaser is one of the five finalists who are hoping Jan. 1 will be their lucky day. He has already won $2,022 for winning a “Second-Chance Drawing” and an at-home New Year’s Eve party package with a $10,000 cash prize.

Now, he is looking forward to his debut on television and the chance to return home with $1 million.

“I’m extremely nervous to appear on national TV, but I’m excited!” he said. “I’m sure it is going to be a very exciting night.”
