Bucks County residents still in need of FEMA assistance related to Tropical Storm Ida have gotten a claim extension into 2022.

Bucks County residents still needing to file an Ida-related property claim to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have a little more time to do so. Jennifer Sheehan reported the extension for The Morning Call.

Applications for federal relief are now due Jan. 10, 2022.

The damage must have occurred to homeowners and renters between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5, and funding applies only to properties not covered by insurance.

Filers should have the following information on hand:

  • Social Security number
  • Address of the damaged primary residence
  • Insurance coverage information
  • Telephone number and mailing address
  • Bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit of funds

Claimants can register online, through the downloadable FEMA app, or by calling 800.620.FEMA (3362). Multilingual help is available daily, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

More information on FEMA assistance to assist with residual storm damage from Ida is at The Morning Call.
