Station Tap House, Doylestown: A Must-Stop for the Feeding Frenzy of Sunday’s Eagles Tailgate
Belting out “Fly Eagles Fly” at the Linc takes a lot of calories to get it to the deafening level that intimidates opposing teams. Jenn Frederick, FOX 20 Philadelphia, profiled Station Tap House in Doylestown, a great (and even somewhat healthy) place to fuel up for this weekend’s battle with the Los Angeles Chargers, whether you’re in the parking lot or your at-home watch party.
Chris Martin, general manager, described the traditional fare (cheesesteak eggrolls, chicken wings), but then executed a quick handoff to the healthier stuff.
“Here’s a meze platter with homemade falafel and pita bread,” he described. “And a spicy cauliflower taco with cilantro-lime sauce and a citrus slaw.”
Other meatless fare includes a flatbread made on a gluten-free cauliflower crust and a meze platter with homemade hummus, falafels, and stuffed grape leaves.
Asking Martin about his favorite dish is like asking a parent which child is best. But after some thought, he tips his hand: “Chicken wings. All day long. Chef’s kiss.”
His other recommendation is to call ahead, especially for large take-out orders.
And for those without tickets to see the Eagles in person, Martin offers the reminder that eating onsite is a great option. The restaurant reportedly has the largest outdoor seating area in Bucks County.
More on the football-friendly fare at Station Tap House is at FOX 29 Philadelphia.
