Paoli Native’s Sneakers Are Foot Locker’s Newest Kicks
Bungee Oblecení sneakers by designer Darrell Alston, a Paoli native and Conestoga High School grad, made their official debut earlier this month at the Foot Locker in King of Prussia, writes Elizabeth Wellington for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
These sleek shoes are made from leather and suede and, in some cases, trimmed with faux animal skin. In the past few weeks, the designer and his brand have been receiving some major buzz on social media and even received an endorsement from boxing legend Bernard Hopkins.
The King of Prussia Foot Locker currently carries four styles of Bungee Oblecení sneakers. The shoes will soon also be available at the Foot Locker in Wyncote and in Miami and Atlanta locations. Their price ranges from $165 to $195.
“I’m very excited to be here,” said Alston. “Many of you knew me before I was incarcerated, when I was incarcerated, and after I got out. And never in my wildest dreams did I think that Foot Locker would be selling my shoe.”
Alston is a rapper who performed under the moniker 4th Quarter. He went to jail on drug-related charges, and then started to sketch the sneakers. During his incarceration, he drew more than 250 designs.
