Grand View Hospital's capital campaign seeks to ensure its Sellersville location continues to serve Bucks County confidently.

A Grand View Health capital campaign seeks to raise $14 million to cover the remaining cost of an expansion to the healthcare’s Sellersville site. Joe Zlomek reported the effort in the Sanatoga Post.

The project comprises a 190,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing hospital. When completed, the hospital system intends for it to elevate services in Sellersville, raising them to the levels the health system provides in its Harleysville and Pennsburg locations.

Financial commitments toward the goal already total nearly $4 million.

Literature attached to the fundraiser says it will be “the ideal patient experience,” one that “integrates exciting break-throughs in medicine with Grand View’s culture of caring.”

Housed within the new, six-story, $197-million hospital wing will be:

  • 10 new operating rooms
  • 52 private patient rooms
  • A new Emergency Department with:
    • 28 treatment rooms

“With a transformational project in front of us, we are coming to you for your support,” Board of Trustees Chair Sandy Alderfer said, referring to the health system’s intent to engage community corporations and businesses.

He noted the trauma center “demonstrates the life-saving benefits of bringing next-level healthcare to the local community.” Hundreds of area residents, he indicated, have already benefited from “another chance at life.”
