St. Ignatius of Antioch School, Yardley, celebrates its 2021 win as a national Blue Ribbon School.

Three Bucks County Schools received national recognition from the U.S. Department of Education. Kate Fishman, Bensalem Patch, covered their achievement as 2021 Blue Ribbon Schools.

The federal government launched the Blue Ribbon Schools Program almost 40 years ago. It celebrates high performance and achievement in education, determined primarily by test score data and students’ ability to keep pace with peer groups.

Other evaluation factors include student scores, subgroup student scores, and graduation rates.

“I commend … all our Blue Ribbon honorees for working to keep students healthy and safe while meeting their academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs,” Cardona wrote.

Dr. Andrew McLaughlin, Secretary for Elementary Education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, said, “We are thrilled to learn of the well-deserved selection of these elementary schools.”
