Aileen Alexander, former U.S. Army Captain from Washington Crossing, has joined Diversified Search Group, a Philadelphia-based executive placement firm. She fills a newly created position as vice chair and leader of the corporate global practice, reports Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Judith M. von Seldeneck, Diversified Search founder/chairwoman, called Alexander an industry “superstar.” She continued: “Her background is so impressive. I am over the moon about her joining us.”

After graduating from Villa Joseph Marie High School (1994) and Johns Hopkins University (1998) with a degree in political science, Alexander joined the U.S. Army. For four years, she was in the signal corps, where she became a Captain.

“The Army does a lot to prepare you for leadership,” Alexander said.

At Diversified Search, Alexander will work with numerous specialties: life sciences, energy, technology, financial services, private equity, consumer/retail, supply chain, industrial and sports media/entertainment.

Von Seldeneck said expanding the senior management team was necessary. She plans for Diversified Search to get back into the acquisition market after its COVID-19 hiatus.

She also recognizes that Alexander’s appointment aligns well with Diversified Search’s corporate culture.

“Everyone is looking for diversity, and we are known for that,” she said.
