A potential buyer has expressed interest in purchasing New Jersey’s Stockton Inn, a long-neglected, historic icon across Solebury Township’s Center Bridge, writes Bridget Wingert for the Bucks County Herald. 
 
New York City-based Avon Road Partners is working to “…reimagine, preserve and reopen” the site. The firm’s partners — JB Berman and her brother Alan Berman — have invested in, founded and operated multiple enterprises in industries that include real estate.  

The master plan addresses the region of 25 million people in a 100-mile radius. Its scope includes repositioning the building, revitalizing the inn’s restaurant and guest rooms and adding a three-story building with guest rooms and a tented 1,000-seat-amphitheater. There’s also a wellness center in the plan.  

Designers are committing to maintaining the unusual waterscape and gardens surrounding the inn.  

The 300-year-old inn, once a stagecoach stop, attracted New York celebrities in its 1930s-1940s heyday.  

A series of socially distant presentations are planned to provide residents with more information on the proposed development.
