A luxury vacation concept promising elevated retreats with panoramic views and rooftop hot tubs has been turning heads—and raising eyebrows—in Bucks County, writes staff for The Keystone.

The Lookout Towers, a company marketing fire tower-style rental accommodations inspired by historic forest lookout structures, has promoted a future New Hope location across social media.

The ads are polished: sweeping views, upscale amenities, and “priority access” reservations for stays the company once suggested could begin as early as May 2026.

There’s just one problem, according to The Keystone story. Nobody in Bucks County seems to know anything about it.

Officials and planning commissions in New Hope and Solebury Township have received no active applications, permits, or approvals tied to the project, according to various reports.

Visit Bucks County, the region’s own tourism authority, also said it had no information about the development.

Nicole Lathan, the individual connected to the company’s business registration, initially floated May 2026 as a tentative opening date before walking it back, saying there is no firm timeline.

Lathan has addressed growing public skepticism, insisting the company is simply in early development. Lathan said in a statement, “We understand why some people are skeptical…We are asking people to believe in a concept that is still actively being built.”

The company has promoted planned locations in several other states where, similarly, local officials report no completed projects on the ground.

The website lists locations in Vermont, Oregon, and North Carolina as available to rent, though all future dates are completely booked, leaving more questions than answers for curious travelers across the country.
