According to a new ranking from Niche, Newtown Borough is the best place to live in Bucks County, with highly rated schools, low crime rates, and a welcoming suburban atmosphere, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
Niche’s 2026 Best Places to Live list provides insights into areas around the country, ranking 230 cities and 18,000 suburbs, neighborhoods, and towns.
The Bucks County borough didn’t place in the Top 10 Best Places to Live in Pennsylvania, but was ranked No. 25, making it the highest-ranked town in the county on the list.
With a population of 2,224, Newtown received an A+ rating.
According to Niche, the borough is “one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania. Living in Newtown offers residents a sparse suburban feel, and most residents own their homes. In Newtown, there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many retirees live in Newtown, and residents tend to have moderate political views.”
Newtown received an A+ for being a good spot for families, and an A for nightlife, public schools, and crime and safety. It received a B for housing and a C for diversity.
The average home value is $783,400 compared to the national median of $332,700, according to Niche.
