A recent analysis of over 2,800 counties across the country compared the budgeting habits of residents, ranking counties from best to worst, and Bucks County placed toward the top, reports Adam McCann for WalletHub.
Budgeting helps individuals manage their income, ensuring major expenses are covered while allocating money for debt payments, emergency funds, and savings.
To determine the strongest budgeting habits, WalletHub analyzed counties based on 11 metrics, including percentages of households with zero net worth, households without a bank account, and credit card delinquency rates.
“Although inflation has continued easing from its earlier peaks over the past few years, price growth has remained moderate in recent months, and many Americans are still struggling financially,” said WalletHub Analyst Chip Lupo.
Bucks County was ranked in the 92nd percentile, with an overall score of 71.18 out of 100. The county ranked No. 47 in Savings & Financial Assets and No. 1,679 in Debt & Delinquencies.
For those looking for ways to improve their budgeting skills, WalletHub recommended planning things out, utilizing free tools, attempting different strategies, prioritizing important payments, and adhering to the budget once it’s finalized.
