Ever wondered what it would take to make your home feel like a hotel? A new sale in Plymouth Meeting might be your chance to find out, writes Kristin Hunt for The Philly Voice.
The former DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Philadelphia West is opening its doors one last time. This time it’s not for guests, but for shoppers. Starting this week at 640 Fountain Road, a full-scale liquidation sale is offering everything from guest room essentials to banquet hall fixtures.
That means king beds for $115, pillows for $2, and TVs starting at $39, along with mirrors, lamps, mini fridges, and even hair dryers. Looking to go bigger? The hotel’s lobby chandelier is priced at $350, while other lighting fixtures, furniture and decor pieces are also up for grabs.
The sale doesn’t stop at standard furnishings. Buyers can browse commercial-grade equipment like buffet stations and ice machines, or even pick up party-ready items such as portable dance floors and microphones.
There’s even a popcorn machine and a fully decorated Christmas tree in the mix.
The hotel, which closed in November, will host shoppers daily from 10 AM to 5 PM until inventory runs out, with slightly shorter Sunday hours.
