Buckingham’s Kin Wellness and Support Center is expanding its services through a partnership with Chalfont’s Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
The center will be offering up to 12 visits of free counseling and therapy sessions to cancer patients through Kin’s Remote Care Program.
Dr. Mary Brownsberger, one of Kin’s in-house therapists who previously worked at The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, arranged the collaboration.
“I am so pleased to be able to facilitate this partnership and bring several skilled providers at The Center to offer free counseling services to Kin guests, which will more than double Kin’s current capacity to meet the need,” said Dr. Brownsberger, PsyD, ABPP.
The Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling, run by Dr. Christina Carson-Sacco and Dr. James Stone, offers services for anxiety/stress management and depression, autism spectrum disorders, couples therapy and marriage counseling, family therapy, and more.
“We appreciate the trust Kin and their guests have placed in our team at The Center,” said Dr. Christina Carson-Sacco. “As we work to fulfill our mission to provide free services that support the mental, physical and social needs of those touched by cancer locally in Bucks County, we must lean on a multitude of experts in a variety of modalities and industries.”
