New Fitness Center Coming to Langhorne Will Give Young Athletes a Place to Train

A new fitness center coming to Langhorne, D1 Training, is designed to help prepare young athletes for the next level of their sports careers.

D1 Training is a new fitness center for young athletes opening in Langhorne this week, giving kids a place to practice and hone their skills, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times.

The center is operated by husband and wife Matt and Tracy Kueny, using a training regimen designed with sports science and led by expert trainers.

Having been involved in Ewing Township’s softball community in New Jersey, the couple understands the work needed to help prepare young athletes for the next step.

“Obviously the importance of youth sports has sort of taken on a whole new competitive level,” he said. “I think the changes at the upper end of the game at the college level and at the professional level—particularly the changes in the college programs—have really kind of radiated downward into youth athletics.”

The center has four age-based programs for kids between 7 and 11, 12 and 14, 15 and 18, and adults.

Programs are designed with performance, dynamic warm-ups, core and conditioning, strength, and cool-downs in mind.

Visitors can receive semi-private training from staff and one-on-one training, alongside group workouts.

Matt said that the goal is to help make sure athletes are “getting the off-field stuff that they need to really be prepared to compete at the next level.”

The fitness center will have its official opening ceremony on Feb. 21.
