Scenic nature, such as Bowman’s Hill Sunflower Preserve, provides opportunities to enjoy native plants, while the town’s rich history adds another layer of appeal.
With its appealing mix of family-friendly attractions, Doylestown ranks among the top towns in the state for a family getaway.
The town has storybook-style historic mansions such as Fonthill Castle, once owned by Henry Chapman Mercer, known for its 44 rooms and 18 fireplaces, while Kids Castle Central Park is perfect for family fun.
Bristol’s history stretches back to the 17th century and includes ties to both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
Visitors can experience that heritage at the Grundy Museum, once home to the Grundy family, as well as throughout the town’s many historic sites.
Bristol Wharf adds a relaxed waterfront setting with activities and concerts, while the Bristol Amish Market rounds out the visit with unique shopping.
