Bucks250PA, a partner of America250PA, awarded $20,000 in mini-grants to 19 nonprofit organizations across Bucks County, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
The grants were awarded to organizations with community-focused projects for the country’s 250th anniversary this year.
“These mini-grants will support local efforts to commemorate Bucks County’s pivotal role in America’s founding and its continued historical significance regionally, throughout Pennsylvania, and across the nation,” said Bucks250PA Commission Chair and Bucks County Commissioner Robert J. Harvie Jr.
“As we move deeper into 2026, the 250th anniversary of America’s founding will hopefully remind us that we are one nation made of many diverse backgrounds and cherished traditions,” he continued.
The mini-grants ranged from $550 to $1,500.
Among the nonprofits that received mini-grants were the Andalusia Historic House, The TileWorks of Bucks County, the Friends of Bolton Mansion, the James A. Michener Art Museum, the Bucks County Free Library, the New Hope Historical Society, the Friends of Washington Crossing Park, the Phillips Mill Community Association, the Newtown Historic Association, and the African American Museum of Bucks County.
The funding was made possible through financial support from local foundations, businesses, and government entities.
