New Hope resident Bradley Cooper’s new movie “Is This Thing On?” marks his third time acting as a writer, director, and producer, writes Caitlin Busch for Tudum.
He previously directed “A Star Is Born” (2018) and “Maestro” (2023), and has starred in classics like “Silver Linings Playbook,” “American Hustle,” “American Sniper,” “Sex and the City,” and “The Hangover” films.
Luckily, some of Cooper’s best works can be enjoyed on Netflix.
The biographical romantic drama “Maestro” tells the story of composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, played by Cooper, as he navigates his complex career and relationship with his wife, Felicia Montealegre Bernstein.
“It was an unorthodox, genuine love that I found endlessly intriguing,” said Cooper. “This is the story I wanted to tell, a love story. Of course, the other irreplaceable element was the music.”
For those looking for something more lighthearted, check out “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,” a prequel to “Wet Hot American Summer.” This satirical miniseries features a star-studded cast of actors reprising their original roles.
Action-comedy fans can check out “The A-Team” and “Hit & Run,” with excellent casts, entertaining stories, and plenty of laughs guaranteed.
