For visitors, there are plenty of bed and breakfasts, chain hotels, and cozy inns to spend the night.  

During the day, the town comes alive with a vibrant arts culture. There are a variety of workshops, community art organizations and small galleries to explore on Main Street. 

The Arts of Yardley (AOY) Art Center is a hub for creatives, with art exhibitions and hands-on sessions. The Fine Craft Show & Bake Sale and Small Works Market are popular events you won’t want to miss. 

The town’s history dates to 1682 when William Yardley purchased the land from William Penn.  

It offers picturesque neighborhoods with stunning Georgian and Federal buildings, along with styles like Queen Anne and Gothic Revival.  

There’s no shortage of unique shops and delicious restaurants to check out.  

The Yardley Inn and Pretty Bird Coffee are popular spots to visit. McCaffrey’s Food Market and cute boutiques can be found in the Edgewood Village Shopping Center.  

The Continental Tavern is another great restaurant that once acted as a way station on the Underground Railroad.
