The Borough in Downingtown is the newest hotspot for food and entertainment, bringing together a sports bar, pizzeria, sushi bar, and music venue all under one roof, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer

Keith Critchley and JT O’Brien opened the new eatery in the building that once housed Georgio’s in downtown Downingtown. The opening was staggered in phases, starting with the 35-seat sports bar and restaurant on the ground level, featuring 40 televisions, 20 taps, and a full cocktail menu.

The upper floor has a 20-seat bar, a six-seat sushi bar, and a live music venue hosting open-mic nights, karaoke, trivia nights, comedy shows, and more.

Pizzaiolo Ptah Akai was put in charge of setting up the pizza kitchen. Akia, a lifelong vegan, prepares the delicious pies that are puffy-crusted, with no flop and have a delicious light char.

The restaurant’s menu caters to all tastes, featuring pork belly burnt ends, a soft Bavarian pretzel, a curated meat-and-cheese board, a crispy chicken sandwich topped with sesame soy glaze and kimchi on a glazed doughnut bun, and a flavorful lamb gyro.
