As of this week, Quakertown mainstay John’s Plain & Fancy Diner has restored its classic 24/7 operation and is once again open nonstop, seven days a week, writes Ryan Kneller for WFMZ 69 News.
The full-service diner is famous for its flavorful burgers, omelettes, club sandwiches and a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes.
Open 24/7 before the pandemic, the new owner, Tarek Hamouda, and his partner, Ahmad Houir, chose to restore the round-the-clock hours to better accommodate the community.
“We want our guests to feel at home here no matter what time they’re arriving,” said Hamouda. “So many people work very late or very early, and we want to accommodate them. We don’t want you rushing to get here before we close. We want you to sit, relax, and enjoy great meals whenever you want.”
From 10 PM to 6 AM daily, John’s Plain & Fancy now serves a condensed version of its full menu, allowing guests to enjoy the diner’s most popular items, including gyros, chicken fingers, hot turkey and hot roast beef open-faced sandwiches, and the “Big John’s Deluxe Burger,” among other favorites.
