James LeGette, who lives in Levittown, is managing to balance his career as a special education teacher and his graduate studies while enjoying being one of only three male Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders, reports Jenna Miller for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Performing as part of the Birds’ cheer team had always been his lifelong dream. This year marked his fifth season with the team.
“I still remember my first time ever stepping out onto Lincoln Financial Field and I, the first thing I thought was, wow, this is big,” he recalled. “Like, I’ve never danced in front of, danced or performed in front of so many people. So the fact that I had the opportunity to do that was amazing. Feeling the ground shake from how loud the fans were, it was beyond anything I could have ever imagined.”
And despite his busy schedule, LeGette still makes time to coach gymnastics, basketball, and soccer, while also serving as a Big Brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
“I have goals and I am a big believer in chasing your dreams,” he said.
