Brian Floyd has joined MPB Insurance and Risk Management as Vice President and Employee Benefits Producer.
In this role, Floyd will provide insurance clients with customized employee benefits solutions and will be based in Harrisburg at Mid Penn Bank’s administrative office, reporting to Matt Snavely, Managing Director of MPB Insurance and Risk Management.
Floyd brings more than 20 years of experience in insurance benefits consulting and risk management. Most recently, he served as Principal at EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, where he worked with clients to design and implement tailored employee benefits programs. Prior to that, he spent 18 years as Vice President with Gunn-Mowery, managing a diverse portfolio of clients and leading initiatives to expand benefits offerings.
Earlier in his career, Floyd served as a combat medic in the Army.
Floyd earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Millersville University, where he played baseball. He is licensed as a life and health insurance agent in multiple states, as well as a property and casualty agent in Pennsylvania. He holds several industry certifications, including Group Benefits Associate, Chartered Benefits Consultant, and Advanced Chartered Benefits Consultant.
Active in his profession and community, Floyd serves on the board of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Keystone Chapter and participates in the ABC’s national membership development committee, the Construction Leadership Network, the Association of Corporate Growth, the Manufacturer’s Association of South-Central Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, and the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce. In 2021, he was recognized as Simply the Best Insurance Agent in the Harrisburg region.
