Tacoria Mexican Street Kitchen, a popular New Jersey fast-casual Mexican chain, is considering several Montgomery County locations for its next expansion, writes Jason Sheehan for the Philadelphia Magazine.
Since opening in New Brunswick in 2016, the eatery has drawn big crowds thanks to its choose-your-own-adventure tacos, burritos, and Nutella nachos. All food is made fresh, as none of the locations use freezers.
Owners Chuck and Vishal Patel now operate 12 locations, including a new spot in Cherry Hill that opened earlier this month. They are also already considering the Philadelphia suburbs to be their next site, with Conshohocken, King of Prussia, and Willow Grove, as well as Doylestown in neighboring Bucks County, among the areas under review.
Vishal noted in a recent interview that Tacoria had considered opening several Philadelphia locations, mainly in University City and Center City, but was unable to find an appropriate space. As a result, they decided to shift their focus to the Main Line and the wider Philadelphia suburbs.
Any details regarding future suburban locations remain unknown, as the chain will likely focus first on the new Moorestown eatery.
