Neshaminy Creek Brewing will celebrate launching its new pickle sour ale, It’s a Dillemma, with a themed party on Saturday at its Croydon taproom, writes Kristin Hunt for the Philly Voice.
The 5 percent ABV beer emulates the classic flavors of a dill spear and is brewed with a salty gose base combined with black peppercorn, coriander seed, mustard seed, dillweed, whole allspice berries, and bay leaf.
The beer will be on tap at all the brewery’s locations in Croydon, Dublin, and Harleysville this weekend, and later at select distributors in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It’s a Dillemma is a single-batch brew, offered for a limited time only.
The “pickle palooza” in Croydon on Saturday will feature local brine masters Fishtown Pickle Project, Giovanni’s Dillicious Pickles, Pickle Dude, and Penny’s Pickles. Additional eats will be provided by food trucks King Gyro and Clean Plate Club. An American Pickle will be screened for free.
“This is the first time we’ve done this event and this beer,” said Kyle Park, the brewery’s CEO. “While we cherish the classics and old school kind of recipes, there’s always room to experiment and have some fun.”
