Main Line Health’s four hospitals earn national honors for rapid, research-based STEMI care and excellence in treating heart attack patients.

Main Line Health earned national praise for its swift, high-quality heart attack care, receiving two honors from the American Heart Association, writes Main Line Times & Suburban.

Main Line Health encompasses Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital, and Riddle Hospital. The health system received the 2025 Mission: Lifeline Systems of Care Regional Award for its teamwork in treating ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), a severe heart attack caused by a complete coronary artery blockage.

All four hospitals also achieved Get With The Guidelines — Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving Center Gold status for the second year in a row. They were recognized for their rapid, research-based approach to STEMI treatment.

“Main Line Health is dedicated to improving the quality of heart care,” said President and CEO Ed Jimenez. He noted the awards reflect the commitment of physicians, nurses, and staff to patient survival.

The recognition highlights 24/7 capabilities, coordination with regional hospitals and EMS, and adherence to the latest STEMI guidelines. Additionally, the four hospitals earned the Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award. This is for ensuring heart attack patients with Type 2 diabetes receive the most current, evidence-based care.
