Richboro Family Shares Their Daughter’s Story and a Powerful Message of Hope

Michael Pulaski shared the story of his daughter Sarah, who passed away from cancer, and how his family is holding onto hope with music.

Michael Pulaski of Richboro shared the story of his children and the message of hope that his family wants to promote, writes Nikki DeMentri for CBS News.

Their story begins with his daughter Sarah, a nine-year-old who was undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia in 2010.

Sarah found joy in making art, creating impressive paintings that stunned her family. One of them, titled “Sarah’s painting,” depicted a hummingbird and a flower.

After Sarah passed away at age eleven, the painting took on a deeper meaning for her brother.

Ryan, now a 22-year-old college student, is creating a music album inspired by his sister’s artwork. He released his first single on Sarah’s birthday.

“I feel exceptionally called to create art, and it is only because I had, I have this wonderful sister who was an artist herself, that I was able to find my own voice,” he said.

The Pulaskis believe Ryan and Sarah’s story shows the power of memories and the importance of hope.

“I think if my 22-year-old son, who’s had a probably a more difficult journey than I have, can find hope and joy, then I think the rest of us can too,” said Michael
