Delivery service Gopuff has expanded its partnership with Starbucks, offering specialty coffee to customers in Philadelphia and its suburbs around the clock, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
To celebrate the occasion, Gopuff will deliver a free grande iced Starbucks coffee to any address on Wednesday. While the coffee itself comes with no delivery fee, any additional items will include standard delivery charges.
The two companies first partnered in October 2023 to serve Center City, Old City, Northern Liberties, Fairmount, and University City, areas supported by two Gopuff microfulfillment centers.
Now that Gopuff has 16 centers online across the region, the company’s delivery footprint covers the majority of Philadelphia, along with towns straddling Routes 1 and 476. These include Bala Cynwyd, Wallingford, Brookhaven, Media, Folsom, and Wawa.
The partnership has paid dividends for Gopuff, the Philadelphia-based company founded by two Drexel students who envisioned it as a Wawa on wheels, delivering in as little as 15 minutes.
According to Gopuff representative Brigid Gorham, around 80 percent of Gopuff’s Starbucks orders include at least one item from the company’s own inventory, which features groceries, beer and wine, frozen foods, beverages, snacks, cleaning supplies, and more.
