Human Robot Brewing Expanding into Bucks County with New Hope Tasting Room

Human Robot Brewing plans to expand into Bucks County with a new tasting room in New Hope, in the former home of the Great Barn Brewery taproom.

West Kensington-born Human Robot Brewing plans to expand into Bucks County with a new tasting room in New Hope, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The tasting room will occupy the space formerly home to the Great Barn Brewery taproom. It will cover 900 square feet, along with a large outdoor area. No details about the expected opening are known yet.

A liquor license registered to Human Robot is pending for the West Mechanic Street space in the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board system under the name “Doubbles.”

Human Robot co-founder Jake Atkinson said the brewery will have a partner on the New Hope project, but did not disclose their name.

Atkinson said the New Hope area is “beautiful” and works well for Human Robot due to its proximity to Interstate 95, offering an easy commute between the company’s Philadelphia outposts and the Bucks County town.

Human Robot opened its flagship brewery in West Kensington five years ago. Two years later, it debuted The Haus, its first suburban location in Jenkintown. It also has a tasting room in Center City and a taproom in South Philadelphia.
