EHS Technologies Lands $73.3M DoD Contract, Plans to Expand Headcount and Office Space

EHS Technologies was recently awarded a $73.3 million contract, with much of the work primarily focused on the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

EHS Technologies has been awarded a $73.3 million Department of Defense contract, the largest in its history, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The two five-year contracts are for work with the Philadelphia Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The company has previously won contracts of the same type, making this an extension of those awards.

The contracts focus primarily on research, development, and testing of different technologies aboard naval ships, which will be performed primarily at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. This is where the Moorestown, New Jersey, firm has its offices.

The larger contract includes IT support, computer operations, and work on technology systems aboard ships, while the smaller contract will focus on infrastructure management.

The company is now looking to increase its workforce and office space. EHS recently moved into a larger space in the Navy Yard, and will most likely grow its footprint again, said CEO Denise Eckerle.

“We will be bringing new people on board and as the contract goes on, new needs arise and we are asked to bring on additional staff,” said Eckerle.
