Production Wraps for Bradley Cooper’s Latest Directorial Project

Bradley Cooper wraps Is This Thing On?, a comedy-drama with a star-studded cast about marriage, stand-up, and rediscovery.

Jenkintown native, Bradley Cooper has wrapped production on his newest film, Is This Thing On?, writes Katcy Stephan for Variety. The film is a heartfelt story, blending comedy and emotional depth.

The Searchlight Pictures project follows a couple whose marriage begins to unravel as they take divergent paths: he dives into New York City’s stand-up comedy scene, while she embarks on a journey of self-discovery. As life changes reshape their realities, they’re forced to redefine what love, family, and connection truly mean.

Cooper co-wrote the script with Will Arnett and Mark Chappell and directed the film himself. He also stars alongside Arnett, Laura Dern, Andra Day, and Sean Hayes. The cast is rounded out with comedic and dramatic talent alike, including Amy Sedaris, Peyton Manning, Reggie Conquest, and Chloe Radcliffe.

Cooper also serves as a producer under his Lea Pictures production house.

Behind the camera, Cooper pulled in top-tier collaborators—including cinematographer Matthew Libatique (Black Swan), editor Charlie Greene (The Queen’s Gambit), and designers from Joker, Maestro, and Birdman—making it a technical powerhouse as well as a narrative one.
