Uber Driver’s Quick Thinking Saves Man on Way to New Job in Warminster

Uber driver Taras Zvir helped save the life of Justin Anderson, his passenger traveling from Philadelphia to Warminster when Anderson suffered a brain hemorrhage.

Uber driver Taras Zvir helped save the life of his passenger, Justin Anderson, who was traveling from Philadelphia to his new job in Warminster when he suffered a brain hemorrhage, writes Abigail Adams for People.

Zvir picked up Anderson on February 25 when the 41-year-old suddenly fell ill during the ride. Zvir immediately realized something was wrong with him.

“I noticed he was just sweating,” said the driver. “He was sweating pretty bad. I was immediately like, ‘Oh my God, are you OK?’ And he pointed his one finger like, ‘Give me a minute.’”

Zvir stopped the car and called 911 before performing CPR on Anderson. After the help arrived, Anderson was taken to Abington Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma. He is still in a coma.

Anderson’s mother, Deborah, said she is  “thankful for the Uber driver’s quick response to call 911” and that he is one of the reasons why her son is still alive.

She added that her son, who already made “some positive progression” will “need much more time to heal” following “three ischemic strokes.”
