A new Italian restaurant and bar, set to be opened by cousins Frank Picone and Anthony Adragna, will take the place of the former New Hope Star Diner in Solebury, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The Solebury Township Board of Supervisors recently approved the transfer of a liquor license from the closed TGI Friday restaurant in Middletown Township to the new establishment at 6522 Lower York Road in Solebury.
Picone and Adragna bring decades of combined experience in the restaurant industry. Picone stated that the liquor license will help the new full-service, dine-in restaurant and bar succeed. This will create a welcoming community gathering spot for people to enjoy great food and drinks.
“We’re going to have a great atmosphere inside the restaurant and we hope to entertain all of you,” he said.
In the coming months, the cousins plan to make several improvements to the former diner space, including installing new plumbing and electrical systems. They hope to officially be open by summer.
Supervisor John Francis added that he is delighted to know that the diner will be getting new life.
