After nearly 50 years, Qurate Retail Group is planning to move HSN from St. Petersburg, Florida, to its West Chester campus. This will bring it under the same roof as its sister home shopping brand QVC, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Despite the move, it will remain a separate unit from QVC, with a distinct voice, focus, and customer base, said the company.
The relocation will take place over the coming months, with HSN starting to broadcast from the Studio Park campus in the third quarter.
Qurate noted that centralization of broadcasting and production will provide it with access to “world-class studios and technology” available at the West Chester campus.
The company also said it is developing a next-generation content engine at its Chester County location that can easily and promptly capture content to deploy on social media and streaming platforms for both companies.
“The HSN brand will continue to be an integral part of Qurate Retail Group as we activate our growth strategy and position the company for sustained success moving forward,” said Stacy Bowe, president of HSN brand & U.S. merchandising.
