Embers Smokehouse and Tap in Chalfont offers chef-driven Southern smokehouse creations, that deliver a savory and unforgettable dining experience, reports Bob Kelly for FOX 29 Philadelphia.

The menu is “beyond your typical fare,” said Alisha Riexinger, co-owner of Embers Smokehouse and Tap. “We got fried calamari with a honey-chili-lime sauce. All of our sauces are made in-house. It’s a scratch kitchen. We make everything ourselves.”

Chef Scott Borghi comes up with all of the tasty creations.

“My background is more in the Italian chef lands, and then I started dabbling in the barbecue lands, and kind of put them together,” said Borghi. “So what we are is, we’re not your typical five-protein, white bread, barbecue place.”

Some of the local favorites include deviled eggs aptly called Sinfully Delicious, Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, Asian BBQ Salmon, Brisket Tot Pie, and Prime Grade A.

However without a doubt the absolute top seller are the Brisket Burnt Ends.

The eatery also recently added brunch, which includes the signature The Rancher with sliced brisket, that comes accompanied by black bean pico, salsa verde, queso fresca, avocado, mole sauce, and fried tortillas.
