Some Bucks County Schools Closed Friday for Eagles Parade and More

Some Bucks County schools are closing Friday for the Eagles parade, but some are closing for other reasons.

Seven years ago, when the Eagles won the Super Bowl, some Bucks County schools excused absences for those who attended the parade, writes Jess Rohan for the Bucks County Courier Times.

This year, many schools are already closed on Friday for various reasons, coinciding with the Eagles parade, while others are closing for students to celebrate the event.

Bristol Township School District announced schools would be closed for the parade. Pennridge and Souderton Area students are also off.

Central Bucks School District, Neshaminy, and North Penn are either closed or have a half day for a teacher in-service day on Friday.

Council Rock, Lower Merion, Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, New Hope-Solebury School District, Pennsbury, and Quakertown Community students are all off on Friday for a professional development day, while students at Centennial are to be dismissed early.

Hatboro-Horsham has an early dismissal for a staff development day, while Morrisville schools will be closed due to a staff shortage.

Palisades and Upper Bucks Technical School are closed for a holiday.

Schools and school districts that have not yet announced a parade attendance policy include Archbishop Wood High School, Bensalem, Bucks County Tech School, Bucks County Community College, Bristol Borough, Conwell-Egan Catholic, and Philadelphia Schools.
