
PECO President and CEO Dave Velazquez will be one of the featured speakers when the Smart Energy Initiative (SEI) of Southeastern Pennsylvania brings together top leaders in the field to address the evolving energy landscape at its 13th Annual Energy Briefing.
Taking place on Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 8-10 AM at the Chester County Economic Development Council, the event will feature insights on energy markets, policies, and the growing demand for sustainable solutions.
“We have secured top leaders in the field to address these issues and explore how power providers are innovating to meet this growing demand, and how large-scale coordination is crucial for a sustainable energy future,” said Jim Lauckner, SEI Project Consultant.
Velazquez leads Pennsylvania’s largest electric and natural gas delivery company, overseeing 2,900 employees who are dedicated to the safe and reliable delivery of electricity and natural gas, as well as enhanced energy management conservation, environmental stewardship, and community assistance.
Asim Haque, Senior Vice President of State Government Services at PJM, a regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of 13 states and the District of Columbia, will also speak.
Presentations will include a Q/A session, and the event will be followed by networking. Key topics include:
