Lower Makefield native Ameena Soliman is heading to her first Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles as the team’s director of football operations, writes Jess Rohan for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Soliman joined the Birds as an intern seven years ago, and has since become an integral part of the team off the field. She was first promoted to pro scout, the person responsible for assessing free agents and finding weaknesses in upcoming opponents. During her tenure, the Eagles have recruited two pro players – Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun – who have proven to be essential to the team’s success this season.
In 2023, Soliman, a lifelong Eagles fan, participated in the league’s front office and general manager accelerator program, before being promoted to her current position.
Prior to her time with the Eagles, Soliman was part of Temple University’s Owls staff. Her time in recruitment spanned some of the strongest seasons for the team. Before she switched her focus to football, she worked at a law office in Yardley and served as a camp counselor for the Falls Township Parks Department.
