Wonder, the billion-dollar food hall and delivery service, is planning to open a new Philadelphia location in Fishtown in 2025, write Michael Klein and Jake Blumgart for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Once opened, it will join Haraz Coffee House, in a new building on Girard Avenue. Haraz is now building its first franchise location in the region on Chestnut Street in West Philadelphia.
The entrepreneur behind Wonder, Marc Lore, bills the service as the “super app for meal time.”
Wonder prepares food from various restaurants’ menus into one kitchen stocked with high-tech equipment such as TurboChef ovens and self-venting automated fryers. Among the restaurants’ menus include brands owned by celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay, Jose Andres, Nancy Silverman, and Marcus Samuelsson.
All the food is made to order and delivered in under 30 minutes, with pickup and dine-in options also available.
At the moment, Wonder operates 35 locations throughout New York City, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania.
