NBC10 is seeking a replacement for Wynnewood's Rosemary Connors who departed in September after 15 years with the network.

NBC10 is searching for a replacement for Rosemary Connors, its longtime weekend evening news anchor, reports Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Wynnewood native departed in September after 15 years at the station. In that time, she earned six Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards for her reporting on topics such as a deadly prison standoff in Delaware and Philadelphia school closures.

Connors’ career began after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, where she played varsity field hockey and worked at 88.5 WXPN-FM. Before joining NBC10, she anchored and reported in Grand Junction, Colorado, and Fort Myers, Florida. In 2014, while working full-time at NBC10, she earned a law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, following the example of her grandmother, a journalist-turned-lawyer.

Journalism runs in Connors’ family. Her mother, Mary Flannery, was a seasoned reporter with stints at the Philadelphia Inquirer and other prominent outlets. Connors also served on the board of trustees at the Academy of Notre Dame in Villanova, her high school alma mater, and on the board of MANNA, a nonprofit delivering meals to people with life-threatening illnesses.

NBC10 is temporarily filling Connors’ weekend shifts with existing talent while considering internal or external candidates for her replacement.
