The charming town of Phoenixville provides plenty of attractions, such as the Colonial Theatre, the Phoenixville Farmers Market, and more.

Phoenixville has been listed as a great, underrated small town to visit for those looking for alternatives to Jim Thorpe or other cute small towns in state, writes Joseph Adebisi for The Travel

While Jim Thorpe attracts many tourists and visitors every year, there is something to be said about a small town in Chester County. Phoenixville offers historic charm without the tourist crowd.

Phoenixville is primarily known for its wine-tasting rooms, local art galleries, the historic district, nature trails, and lively theater scene. However, it’s not necessarily a hot spot for huge crowds traveling from across the state.

It has a population of 19,000 and features several can’t-miss attractions. Some notable attractions include the century-old Colonial Theatre, the Phoenixville Dogwood Festival, the Blobfest, and the Firebird Festival. Also on the list are the town’s numerous wineries to peruse.

With its charming buildings and architecture and its annual community festivals, Phoenixville feels right out of your favorite television show, set in a quaint and picturesque town.
