Meet Jenna Edeline: Class of 2024 MBA Peirce College Graduate, Full-Time Administrative Trainee, and Mother
To celebrate our MBA graduates, Peirce College is thrilled to continue highlighting and sharing their journeys at Peirce College.
Today’s feature is Jenna Edeline, a two-time Peirce graduate receiving her Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2019 and her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with the Class of 2024.
Edeline’s journey at Peirce began in the Spring 2017, after taking a break from school in 2015 to focus on her physical and mental health and family. After discussing her desire to go back to school with her family, her aunt recommended Peirce College. Shortly after, Edeline reached out to learn more information about Peirce.
“The admissions advisor I spoke to answered all my questions and talked me out of my fear as I was a new, working mom,” she said. “She also encouraged me and explained how Peirce is designed to help working adults obtain their degrees at their pace.”
After the encouragement of the admissions advisor, she decided to enroll at Peirce due to the flexibility, online classes, tuition discount for City employees and easy transfer credit process.
“I was able to transfer almost all of my credits from my previous institution,” she said. “It allowed me to feel less stress as I was still on track to graduate within a good time frame and I didn’t have to start all over from the beginning.”
In 2019, Jenna completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and graduated Cum Laude. After graduating she was motivated to continue her education after learning about Peirce’s new MBA program.
She enrolled in the program to gain more knowledge about the Business world and to help broaden her career horizons. In 2024, she completed her Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) and achieved her goal of receiving a 4.0 GPA.
Edeline describes her overall experience at Peirce as pleasant and positive. She acknowledges the understanding and open communication with the staff that helped with her success.
She states, “They make you feel like family! I am forever grateful for the experience I had at Peirce and wish I could extend it further.”
Although she was able to successfully complete her degrees at Peirce, she was met with obstacles that she had to overcome. She juggled the responsibility of working full-time and taking care of her child.
She was able to persevere by the support of her loved ones and focusing on making a better life for her son.
“I would look at my son smiling and knowing that I was doing it for him would encourage me to keep going,” she said. “I knew that I was going to make a difference in his life and he would be able to see that you can truly do anything you put your mind to.”
Currently, Edeline works as an Administrative Trainee with the City of Philadelphia. In the future, she plans to use her degrees to grow within her field and hopes to continue her education by obtaining her doctorate degree.
And for all of her fellow Peirce students and the working adults considering going back to school, Jenna has some advice: DO IT! You are going to get anxious thinking about it, you are going to psych yourself out, but it is all worth it in the end. You might have to pull away for a little while to be able to earn this great achievement, but when all is said and done, you will be proud of yourself and you will encourage others to do it.
Congratulations on your graduation and all of your accomplishments, Jenna!
