Breast cancer survivor Rose Phillips is teaming up with the nonprofit Main Street to help breast cancer patients.

Rose Phillips, a Bucks County breast cancer survivor, is dedicated to helping other patients with support from Keith Fenimore and his nonprofit, Main Street, write Stephanie Stahl and Brad Nau for CBS News Philadelphia.

“We empower other people to help the breast cancer community,” said Fenimore.

The nonprofit donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide food delivery and transportation for breast cancer patients.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the organization lined the streets of Doylestown with pink lights to raise awareness about the disease.

The nonprofit also established the Earth Angel Award “to shine a light on people doing amazing things in the breast cancer community,” said Fenimore.

Phillips nominated Dr. Allison Aggon, her breast cancer surgeon at Fox Chase Cancer Center, for the award.

“She’s an extraordinary doctor and an extraordinary woman,” said Phillips.

Aggon only had words of praise for her former patient.

“She just spreads so much joy and hope and love, and she’s just such a remarkable individual,” said the doctor.

Phillips especially likes to give back by baking for the community and savoring every minute with her family.
