Duck Donuts, a national donut chain headquartered in Mechanicsburg in Central Pennsylvania, is preparing to open its third Bucks County location.

Duck Donuts, the national donut chain, is preparing to open its third location in Bucks County in Prickett Preserve, a mixed-use development in Lower Makefield, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.

The new shop will be located next to the recently opened Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.

Duck Donuts signed a lease for a 1,025-square-foot space at the Wegmans shopping center earlier this year. The chain first announced the new store in January.

Mechanicsburg-based Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 in Duck, North Carolina. Today, it has over 100 locations throughout the country. In Bucks County, the chain already has shops in Warrington and Levittown.

The company’s mission, according to its website, is to “deliver smiles and warm, delicious, and made-to-order donuts created just the way you like.”

The centerpiece of the Prickett Preserve development, which is made up of nine multi-family buildings and seven commercial buildings, is the Wegmans supermarket, which opened in 2023.
