An old photo looks back at Davis Road in the Llanerch section of Haverford Township before electrification and heavy traffic.

Delaware County historian Keith Lockhart offers a view of Davis Road in the Llanerch section of Haverford Township, as reported in the Daily Times.

The photo was apparently taken in a time before electrification when there was far less traffic on the road.

Here’s a previous Keith Lockhart photo that ran in the Daily Times.

The photo is on Woodland Avenue in the Wayne section of Radnor Township. Lockhart asked Daily Times readers to identify the location and report any observations.

Here are some of the correct answers.

• “The view from Wayne is looking south on Woodland Ave. from Poplar Ave. toward Plant Ave. and at the end of the street is the Wayne Steam Co.” — Dennis & Jack McKnight

• “I road my bike here in the ’70s when I lived on Aberdeen Ave across from LK Burket’s Coal Delivery. I recognized that building and it’s still there on Google.— John Klimowicz

• “This is a picture of the steam plant that furnished the heating system for all of North Wayne. It was located on Pennsylvania Avenue, the street behind Woodland and Plant avenues.” — Jim Marks
