Third Annual ‘Art That Blooms’ Exhibit Coming to Newtown This Weekend
The third annual “Art That Blooms” exhibit will take place inside the Hicks Art Center at Bucks County Community College in Newtown on November 9 and 10, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The event is being staged by Bucks County Community College’s Continuing Education Floral Design Department and the Arts and Communication Department. It will merge the floral design and visual arts worlds with the aim of creating a vibrant display of colors, forms, and artistic expressions.
For the exhibit, floral and art students will showcase dozens of interpretative floral displays, paintings, glass sculptures, and wood workings.
As part of the festival, the art department and the continuing education department floral team and students will hold demonstrations that will take place every hour. Additionally, free make-and-take sessions for kids and adults will also be available.
The festival is free for the public to attend. A food truck will be available for the duration of the event for attendees to purchase refreshments. Creative maker vendors will also offer their products for sale outside the Hicks Art Center throughout the weekend.
