A new large light industrial building is set to be constructed in the place of a bar and takeout joint along Veterans Highway in Bristol Township, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Herring Properties received the change in zoning earlier this month for the parcels located at 3113 and 3105 Veterans Highway/Route 413. The facility will eventually create around 50 jobs.

“The building will have high curb appeal, but be utilitarian for whatever light manufacturing company moves in,” said Jim Herring, of Herring Properties.

The building will be between 115,000 and 120,000 square feet. It will be erected on the unkempt site that was previously home to the O’Connor Freightliner dealership.

“That land has been fallow for at least 20 years,” said Herring.

The industrial site will include an adjoining property that is currently occupied by the Stadium Bar and Grill takeout.

“The operator of the bar is planning to close it down, and we made a deal where we will be knocking it down and that will be part of our site,” said Herring.
