As some of the most famous glamorous retreats like Aspen and Palm Beach start to lose their luster, the elite have found a new escape in New Hope, writes Maureen Coulter for Philadelphia Magazine.

There has been an invasion of A-list celebrities in the charming Bucks County town, with big names including actor Bradley Cooper, model Gigi Hadid, author James McBride, One Direction’s Zayn Malik, and many others joining local residents.

“I have a billionaire client who wants to bring his family here. They are buying a new build right outside the borough [of New Hope],” said Revi Haviv, a realtor for Addison Wolfe. “Everyone knows that the Hadids live here, and that Bradley Cooper just bought a house here. Owners of riverfront property can name any price they want. And this is only the beginning.”

Local tourism is experiencing a similar boom to the real estate market. New Hope welcomes many visitors on any given weekend, with shops and galleries seeing an increase in customers and restaurants packed with satisfied patrons. In response, three new luxury hotels have opened in the last four years.

“The tourists that are coming have more money,” said Haviv.
