Insomnia Cookie has some major expansion plans for the next decade, after just recently opening its 300th store.

Insomnia Cookies recently celebrated the opening of its 300th outlet, marking just the latest of several future milestones, writes Mark Faithfull for Forbes.

The Philadelphia-based bakery specialist was founded in 2003 and offers a wide variety of cookies, ice cream, and other sweets.

Now at 300 locations across the United States — and more recently — Canada and the United Kingdom — Insomnia Cookies is projected to open 55 new locations by the end of the year. This would exceed the brand’s highest total new store openings within a calendar year.

Earlier this year, Insomnia Cookies opens its global headquarters and flagship bakery in Center City Philadelphia.

“Our first store opened in 2003, and as we celebrate our 21st birthday this October, I’m so grateful to our community of Insomniacs that has grown beyond my wildest dreams,” said Insomnia Cookies CEO and founder Seth Berkowitz.
