Red and blue voters in Bucks County are braving long lines to vote early, as the decision on who wins will most likely be decided in PA.

Red and blue voters in Bucks County are braving long lines to cast their votes early for the next president of the United States, writes Jim Melwert for KYW Newsradio

In the very purple county, the line outside the Government Services Building was long on Tuesday, and it contained both Republicans and Democrats confident in the system.

“I think it’s wonderful, because it gives people flexibility,” said Irina from Holland

According to county officials, the average wait in the line was about an hour, but inside, the wait could last a few hours.

“It was my wife that wanted early voting and try to avoid the lines — and that was a bit of a mistake,” said John Pachence from Doylestown. “The lines are robust, to say the least.”

County officials describe “early voting” as on-demand, mail-in ballot voting. Pennsylvania voters can visit their county’s Office of Voter Services to fill out a mail-in ballot request form. They then fill in that ballot and put it in the secrecy envelope and the return envelope before handing it directly to the office.
