Sports Connection in Doylestown is the perfect place to visit if you are looking for new shoes for the new school year, reports Bob Kelly for FOX 29 Philadelphia.
The shop offers a vast collection of all the in-style sneakers, including the Phillies/Nike collaborations, that are available in new or used.
Some of the used shoes, such as the 1994 Jordan 1 Retro Bred, even if not in perfect condition, sell for anywhere between $300 and $600, as collectibles. A brand-new pair retails for around $3,000.
In addition to shoes, the shop also sells boxes of cards, with anything related to Victor Wembanyama currently being in high demand. The shop also buys old cards that are professionally graded and put up for sale.
The combining of shoes and sports memorabilia was done with a clear goal in mind.
“We wanted to make this into more of a boutique with the feel where you can come in and sit down and hang out, watch sports and open cards and talk shoes,” said John Calvecchio, owner of the Sports Connection.
